Success story at last!

After long hard relentless struggle, I have finally got my native resolution, sound and internet working! Here are my hardware specs

 

Motherboard: GigaByte GA-G31M ES2L

Graphics Card: Galaxy nVidia GeForce 8400 GS

Ethernet: AtherosL1C

Sound: It was RealTekALC883 initially, after installing graphics card, dono what the driver is.

 

I installed from iATKOS s3 (Mac OSX 10.6.3). Instead of Chameleon 2 RC5, I selected AnVAL boot loader, thinking it might make some difference. It didn't.

 

Next, I tried Graphics enabler, pci root stuff in com.apple.Boot.plist. It didn't work.

 

Then, I installed natit.kext. My PS/2 mouse froze. Using USB mouse now.

 

Then I edited

 

1. GeForce.kext/Contents/Info.plist

2. NVDAResman.kext/Contents/Info.plist

3. NVDANV50Hal.kext/Contents/Info.plist

 

Added these values in IOPCIMatch

 

0x10c310de and 0x0be310de

 

for video, audio.

 

Then I installed NVEnabler64.kext through Kexthelper and restarted. It worked like charm. I got my native resolution

10.6.5 updated from iatkos 3 v2 nVidia 8400 GS with is 0x042210DE

 

Had to edit same files, but in GeForce.kext/Contents/Info.plist

used 0x042210DE&0xfff0ffff

 

Used the enabler NVEnabler64.kext from kexts.com
