During the installation, right before clicking the "Install" buttom, you first had to click the "Customize" button and select packages for your computer. Click on the little arrow in front of the packages to reveal the individual items inside. For your computer, be sure to select Intel items, but only select SSE3, not SSE2. Do not select any AMD items. MacMartin
Is there some SSE3-bug in this version? I have the same problem with the same CPU. Every Windows program, like CPU-Z is showing SSE3 supported, but I also need to install SSE2 instead of SSE3. Rammjet
OK, which iso did you install from and what packages (other than SSE2) did you choose under the Customize menu? FutureBSD
I used the JaS 10.4.6 I think it was called "10.4.6 ...." anything I've no idea right know. I installed the following: - Intel SSE2 - 10.4.6 GMA900 Support - Wireless Networking Support I think it was "10.4.6.install.dvd.iso" oh and the rest I installed was: - printer drivers for Canon and GIMP - the german language pack - fonts Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/24423-instalation-jas-1046-jas-ok-but-after-reboot-no-boot/#findComment-164331 Share on other sites

Try reinstalling without it. And, you must also have selected the 10.4.6 Combo Update, or else you don't get 10.4.6. FutureBSD
Oh you're right I just read the AMD as I checked what the Combo Update stands for. That's why I did not installed it. But I tried installing it without the GMA Support. Same problem. I'm starting the installation right now. I think it's gonna work when it's done. I hope it will thank you so far Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/24423-instalation-jas-1046-jas-ok-but-after-reboot-no-boot/#findComment-164364 Share on other sites
FutureBSD
Edit: yeah that worked for me thank you Now I've some problems for example writing a AT with (AltGR + Q). seems to be the standard quit, but I've no idea how I should write it with a german layout in another way. Another question is, if the JaS iso is just a english version of the mac os x or is it multilingual? if it's multi how can I choose another language pack? Rammjet
Go to blue Apple menu -> System Preferences -> International. On the Language tab, select your language and on the Input tab, scroll down to select your keyboard. That may help some. FutureBSD
It worked with the language but the only german input device I got is "German (Roman)". I can't remember that I had a roman layout ever before (on windows, unix, linux etc.). So this still doesn't work out (with the AT etc.) Another one I got (and which I didn't find with a search so far) is the standby. Everytime the notebook goes to sleep it won't wake up anymore. Is there a kext available which will fix that? thx again edit: I found a thread on the sleeping problem. I'm gonna check that out first. edit2: I tried the stuff with the hibernatemode 1 and 3 but still no success. On 1 it goes to standby but does not wake up again Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/24423-instalation-jas-1046-jas-ok-but-after-reboot-no-boot/#findComment-165226 Share on other sites
