TexasDude
I had a perfectly working Mac 10.6.3. I had to use following fixes to get to work : Chipset :- SuperNForceATA Audio :- VoodooHDA System Patches :- ApplePS2, IOPCIFamily Fix, IOUSBFamily Fix Now, when I updated to 10.6.6 and restarted the computer, my webcam is not working... Everything else works perfect. Can anyone let me know what went wrong and how can I fix it? Thanks! dothacker
is ur USB working? (yeah, you think it's irrelevant but just maybe the cam is detected as a USB device) Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/244189-hp-webcam-not-working-after-1066-update/#findComment-1625671 Share on other sites
TreeFriend
I agree, your USB is probably not working. I haven't seen a built in webcam that wasn't USB. They are USB even in real Macs. dothacker
and since he said "after updating to 10.6.6", that should be another symptom. download Pacifist and 10.6.4 combo update. extract the IOUSBfamily.kext and IOUSBMassStorage.kext from the dmg and drop it in your extensions. replace the ones that you have. Repair permissions, reboot and cross your fingers.
