mbarb15
on home build using ideneb v1.6 10.5.8 dvd I've done a successful install using commands -x -v cpus=4 busratio=15, ran install, made partition on fresh HD as ahci sata and ran dvd on ide dvd player.. anyways, i followed the directions on the wiki.osx86project site to the tee for my setup as far customization my setup is as follows: AMD Phenom II x2 550 Gigabyte GA-MA785GM-US2H F5 Bios SATA Seagate 500gb 7200rpm 12mb cache set AHCI in bios Zotac 8400GS 512MB Video Card TP-Link TL-WN851N pci card Customizations are: Bootloader: chameleon RC2 Kernel: Voodoo 9.5.0 OpenHaltRestart ps/2 Drivers: Voodoo PS/2 Fixes: IOUSBFamilyFix Seatbelt Fix VoodooUSBEHCI Chipset: AppelATIATA Video: NVidia Enablers NVinject 512mb if any of these are incorrect for any of the following please let me know.. as far as the problem, after installation was complete i restarted and booted with busratio=15 as noted on osx86 wiki site.. I got to the grey apple screen, (now the first time) the screen loaded for about 10-15mins and then went black, 5 mins later the welcome video came on and then proceeded to the language and registration screen, i continued to the name screen, that's when i realized my keyboard wasn't working (which is odd cuz it worked prior to the registration screen, its not usb)... i couldn't continue so i restarted the pc and plugged in a usb keyboard and re-enabled it in bios.. then i would boot with busratio=15, grey apple screen 10-15mins then black... no video, no language, no registration... just black screen then monitor goes into stanby after a while... can anyone please help me solve this issue.. its driving me nuts! please let me know of any info u may need for u to assist me.. thanx in advance!! mbarb15
how about replacing your voodoops2 with appleps2? i'll try that out when i get home, that would prob be a solution for the keyboard not working, but most importantly, u wouldnt have any clue why my screen goes black after the apple screen from the reboot after installation?.. it kinda seems like its gonna run the introduction video to go into the registration but just stays black.. i even tried changing the cable from hdmi which worked the 1st time i got into the registration to vga and still nothing.. wish my keyboard worked first time around, soo close but yet so far Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/244023-please-help-black-screen-after-succesfull-install-ideneb-1058-on-gigabyte-ma785gm/#findComment-1625207 Share on other sites
