Surely nothing to concerning but this is basically server technology in a desktop. Makes you wonder if AMD designs may have a future sometime down the road. Still, I would like to discuss the heat sinks....they are HUGE!!! Edit, I just watched the video on mytube and they look quite hefty. Make sure your warranty is lifetime on those via 3rd party. If they need heat sinks like that, this could spell trouble down the road. I have never seen heat sinks that large for ECC before. Apple's spin on them is so that the fans in the system could operate at a lower speed to reduce noise (according to the "more info" box on the order page of the Apple store). If you'll notice other DDR2 667 FB-DIMMs like the Crucial or Kingston, you'll see their heatspreaders are more conventional.
