WooHu
Hi, sorry if this has been posted before, but is there a way to just use the power button, and possibly the power led on the G5. I'm talking about the 3 pins that connects to the usb/firewire/sound board. I don't care about front connectivity, but i want to use the power button. Is there anyway to hook it up? Thanks Edit: 2 GHz DP PowerMac G5. The front panel board says 2003. WooHu
I don't want to go through the front panel board, can I just connect directly to the 3 pin power and led board? Edit: Got the power button to work with instructions from the last picture (the first couple tutorials didn't work (but I don't like it too much. It feels like I'm adding a useless middleman)), but the Power LED doesn't work. When I check the pin outs on the G5 Diagrams forum, It looks like I'm connecting to audio and the usb/fw shelds. Any suggestions? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/243522-powermac-g5-3-pin-power-button/#findComment-1623645 Share on other sites
