1. Pre Modded Powermac G5 Cases

People spend hours upon hours of work on their machines, and take the time to take pictures and write about their success and failures. We did not hire you to scream at us that we did horrible jobs. I think I speak for "Most" of the community.
2. G5 mod - CLEAN - airflow question

I would say because your pulling a lot of air from the ground, the dust filters would clog easily restricting airflow. Your design might work, and it also might lead to an unhappy PSU and GPU (in terms of heat). All that hot air from the CPU (gee, don't you just love acronyms) motherboard and hard drive will go out the front panel or sucked into your PSU and GPU. Depending on how much heat those give off, that might not be the best idea. If you really just want dust control, pick up some AC vent filters and stick it around all the holes of the chassis .
3. I have a Synaptics Touchpad and Touchstik (lol), but it won't work with #####+#####. I have a HP (Compaq) 2510p, and when I go into -v, I see that it loads the Voodoo kext for synaptics, so I know it knows I have a synaptics touchpad. When it loads the ApplePS2Controller kext, it says that it received an unexpected message from the touchpad, and than concludes that this is an Alps touchpad (not true). The keyboard took a while to figure out, at first it was not working, but after installing different kexts that required ApplePS2Nub, and uninstalling then, than reinstalling Voodoo, the keyboard finally worked, but the trackpad has never worked with this setup. Everything else seems to work fine, the x3100 works, the sound is VoodooHDA, and battery meter works, and for Wifi, I pulled a broadcom chip from one of my old laptop servers and it worked without mods. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
4. I haven't tried all of this yet, but I can confirm that the 2510p will boot OS X with ##### with full resolution, but I haven't install OS X yet, so I can't confirm sound or sleep, etc.
5. PowerMac G5 3 Pin Power Button

I don't want to go through the front panel board, can I just connect directly to the 3 pin power and led board? Edit: Got the power button to work with instructions from the last picture (the first couple tutorials didn't work (but I don't like it too much. It feels like I'm adding a useless middleman)), but the Power LED doesn't work. When I check the pin outs on the G5 Diagrams forum, It looks like I'm connecting to audio and the usb/fw shelds. Any suggestions?
6. Hi, sorry if this has been posted before, but is there a way to just use the power button, and possibly the power led on the G5. I'm talking about the 3 pins that connects to the usb/firewire/sound board. I don't care about front connectivity, but i want to use the power button. Is there anyway to hook it up? Thanks Edit: 2 GHz DP PowerMac G5. The front panel board says 2003.
7. kakewalk and a 4850

Hi i just got done with kakewalk's vanilla os X install. It works, but i had to swap for my other gt 240 for it to work. With my 4850 it just gets a really messed up screen at setup, and i cant do anything at that point. I installed with my gt 240 and after installation i swapped my 4850 back still getting a messed up screen. any ideas? Edit: my mobo is the ep45-ud3r Also, i am thinking of getting a new hackintosh, preferably using the GA-EP55-USB3 and a core i7. For installation i plan to use tonymac86's dsdt for it. haven't really looked in to it. I want a recent gfx card around the $160 range that will work without any modification. Thanks
8. Hackintosh in XServe G5 Rack

Exacly why do you need a dedicated graphics card? couldn't you just use the onboard x4500 instead, because i don't think you would need great graphics card compatibility in a headless server? Plus you don't need to worry about overheating the gfx or getting a gfx card extender. Also how do you plan to do your exhaust out? It might not get very hot at first, but if all the cpu fan is circulating the air inside the XServe, then your computer is going to heat up really quickly. But if you manage to pass those hurdles, please post pics.

15. G4 Cube Plans
