please I need help because I updated my system from 10.6.5 to 10.6.6. now I get a kernel panic and says to restart the pc.can some one help me to resolve this please.

the next problem is my GTX480 NOT RECOGNIZED system profile.and I followed the,"IDIOT GUIDE" to make function the GTX480.any solutions

Sorry, I was under the impression that the Fermi cards that work with OS X had been added to nvidia.c in Chameleon Trunk but I've just checked and apparently they haven't.

 

The GPU being unrecognized in System Profiler is just cosmetic though, there is no performance impact. If you have QE/CI then Chameleon GraphicsEnabler has done its job, the rest is up to the drivers.

You can check that the correct renderer is being used by running OpenGL Extensions Viewer (google).

When you updated did you install a new kernel and remove sleepenabler.kext? That was my largest problem when I updated. Download the 10.6.6 kernel installer by Nawcom. Install the combo update from Apple and then install the Nawcom installer. It will take care of all the work for you.
