MBXL Posted September 12, 2005 Share Posted September 12, 2005 So what I did was install OS X on my 2nd HD and kept XP on my 1st. Everything works fine excpet Windows doesn't read my 2nd HD anymore and since OS X can't read the 2nd HD's partition, I'm afraid I've lost 80GB. Please help. Laser47 Posted September 13, 2005 Share Posted September 13, 2005 i believe thats because the 2dn hard drive was mac formatted when you installed OSX on the 2nd hdd. You harddrive isint gone its just that windows cannot read it because of its filesystem. If you go to Computer management in administrative tool and go to disk management you'll be able to see your 80 gigs. If you want to use it again in windows and want to format the drive just right click the 80gig drive and click format. So I guess now it's about how do I remove Longhorn from the boot menu without having to reinstall XP...
