Could anyone help me? I have a problem while i was trying to set up Mac os x snow leopard on my pc ( asus x42j: core i3 2.26-350M, 2 GB of Ram, 320 of HDD, and 512BM of ATI).i used [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] to boot up and insert Mac os x snow leopard after, then it showed up "ebios read error: error 0x04"

let me guess... this is what you did:

 

1. Insert [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] cd

2. wait for it to boot

3. After seeing the red apple, you removed the [url="http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/279450-why-insanelymac-does-not-support-tonymacx86/"]#####[/url] cd and put the retail cd of Mac OS X

4. You hit F5 right away

 

See, you should WAIT for the DVD to spin and be read... What you should do is wait for a couple of minutes until the DVD drive is not spinning anymore, then hit F5.

 

You wanna know how I know? because i've had the same ebios error before

Make it easy for people to help you. What are the chipsets for the Lan & video for that MB?
