single boot kalyway 10.5.2 and GPT partitioning - ntldr missing

i have had a dual boot xp/osx 10.5.2 setup working with mbr in the past. now i have a new addition with a 2tb drive, and i only want to make a single boot system now. i can't seem to find any guides for my mobo that do this (instead of dual boot), preferebly with GPT instead of mbr.

parts-

2tb seagate (1x100gb partition, 1x 1.7TB partition, both GPT)

Intel d975xbx2kr

geforce 8800gts 512 mb.

install with -

kalyway leopard make hd bootable

kalyway 10.5.2

problem 1-

I am using the "kalyway leopard make hd bootable" to erase the drive using the disk utility but it doesn't comence properly, it just hangs there. is that because it doesn't like GPT perhaps?

i seem to be able to be able to ignore this problem, and install over the old installation ok (but this isn't a good situation for the future).

problem 2-

after installing kalyway 10.5.2 if i try to boot, i get "ntldr is missing" and cannot boot. however i can get the system to boot if i put the kalyway disk in the drive. how can i fix this ntldr issue?

is this a GPT issue too? on my other drive if i use MBR, i dont get this issue.

Thanks for any nudges in the right direction.
