Are you able to take a picture of that kernel panic, with some installers it might be just a wrong setting in the boot.plist file which I found out when I installed OS X on my PC. And updating to 10.6.6 should be fine but I strongly suggest updating to 10.6.5 first if you was to update straight from 10.6.0 (assuming thats what your installing) it could break Audio + USB. Hope this helps. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/242323-hello/#findComment-1618896 Share on other sites

My iAtkos disk has 10.6.3 Never used iAtkos so I wouldn't know but are you suppose to be using Safe Boot for installs? Which commands do you put before pressing the return key on the disk? E.g. -v is verbose boot basically a barebone boot up like a console view... -x is safe boot -f is ignore kernel caches So if you are using -x before returning on the disk then it'll most likely fail... Just based on the above, it would seem as if you could eventually get things running. However, these really aren't detailed enough specs about your machine to get them running well. For instance, do you have any IDE devices in your machine? This will affect the sort of kexts you need to install at install. Do you have a WIFI card? Do you have a wired LAN card? It will be important to know the make, model, and device IDs of these things. Also, you will need to know the device ID of your graphics card, as well as the particular chipset that your motherboard has. When having difficulty getting things going, try a stripped down install with the vanilla kernal, chameleon bootloader, and very little else to see if it will work. If you cannot get a particular version of a canned installer to work, try another - or another OS version (10.5 instead of 10.6 for instance, iDeneb instead of iAtkos). Hackintoshing is a process full of trial and error. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/242323-hello/#findComment-1619592 Share on other sites
JeNeI
Hi.I don't have a WiFi card, neither a lan card.I have my internet through my motherboards connector. Will try to do what you said, and see what happens Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/242323-hello/#findComment-1619632 Share on other sites
dothacker
lan card = Network interface card = NIC = internet motherboard connector (all the same thing so YOU HAVE a LAN card). You have AMD, a lot of people are having problems installing iAtkos on AMD, so why not try doing the ##### + retail install. And to answer your question, yes there are instructions. you just have to find it yourself and do a lot of research and trial and error. If you're new, you wont get it running 100% the first time around. good luck.
