hey!

so im here because like a half year ago, i installed osx86 (im not sure but i think it was kalyway) on my hp pavillon dv7! the problem was: it wasnt snow leopard, no audio, bad graphics, no internet connection!

so i deleted everything!

so i started again. i bought a snow leopard cd and made it like this: http://www.westy92.com/?p=25

and i stuck at the point with the flash drive. it wont recognice and of my flash drives. so i cant install kexts or anything. and when i try to eject the dvd, the thing just stays in...

so after i paid 29 € for my snow leopard, i thought i register here and ask you guys for help. i hope it works!

thanks guys. :)

one thing about DVD drives is that there's a small hole on the front of the cover... did you try sticking a paperclip in there? that will open the drive (do this when the drive is not spinning, or you'll damage the cd/dvd).

im sorry. i know this. im in other forums too...but im really desparate. so i thought..

so you think i should burn the files onto a dvd and open it while im on mac osx and try if it takes the files from the dvd? ok i will try.

but i read there is a new ##### out which enables the usb's? you know something about that?

;) thanks

I have more luck using distros than #####... it must be idiot proof (i fail all the time)

@dothacker :) haha. no the problem is i want to use my original snow leo dvd!

@hausbox i will try this.!! and after setting this, should i reinstall snow leo?

but my big problem is now: i tried to burn it onto a dvd and opened my dvd slot and put in the dvd with the data. and mac os x tells me that the dvd is empty!!!!!
