mkphoto Posted January 9, 2011 Share Posted January 9, 2011 hey! so im here because like a half year ago, i installed osx86 (im not sure but i think it was kalyway) on my hp pavillon dv7! the problem was: it wasnt snow leopard, no audio, bad graphics, no internet connection! so i deleted everything! so i started again. i bought a snow leopard cd and made it like this: http://www.westy92.com/?p=25 and i stuck at the point with the flash drive. it wont recognice and of my flash drives. so i cant install kexts or anything. and when i try to eject the dvd, the thing just stays in... so after i paid 29 € for my snow leopard, i thought i register here and ask you guys for help. i hope it works! thanks guys. i totally love the design of this page! best forum design ihve seen yet peace Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/242259-usb-is-not-recognized-just-mouse-and-2nd-harddrive/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

" one thing about DVD drives is that there's a small hole on the front of the cover... did you try sticking a paperclip in there? that will open the drive (do this when the drive is not spinning, or you'll damage the cd/dvd). mkphoto Posted January 13, 2011 Author Share Posted January 13, 2011 @dothacker haha. no the problem is i want to use my original snow leo dvd! @hausbox i will try this.!! and after setting this, should i reinstall snow leo? but my big problem is now: i tried to burn it onto a dvd and opened my dvd slot and put in the dvd with the data. and mac os x tells me that the dvd is empty!!!!!
