Walls
Hi all. I installed OSX86 a while ago using the Jas 10.4.3 install disk and rebuilt the PC using the most compatible kit available at the time (Celeron D, Intel GMA915 graphics etc) and it worked great and dual booted with XP (both on separate drives) fine. The computer is my daughters and she is now using Mac OS quite a lot as she uses it at college, just using XP for games. Now though, she has got to the stage where the games will not run with the integrated graphics and I need a separate card. So which graphics card as going to be most compatible with my OSX installation? It needs to be DX9 compatible with T&L and at least 128mb. I need it to be fairly easy to get going as I'm not very techy when it comes to installing OSs and only managed to install 10.4.3 by following the instructions word for word. Any advice would be gratefully received Thanks Andy

Walls
Thanks. Not much info there but it looks like a newish ATI would be the best bet. I'll do a bit more research
asap18
Most people have had success using the x1600 which is very good for games. I picked up a x300se which has 128 dedicated and 128 shared with the ram. I got full qe and ci support although there was some tearing which most get aside from the integrated ones. tha_toadman
Most people have had success using the x1600 which is very good for games agreed! the asus x1600 xt is the most compatible, followed by a sapphire (IMHO). by the way, he sent you a link to the 10.4.7 wiki. look under 10.4.6. -- you'll find ALOT more cards there.
