Last night i installed iAtkos S3 v.2 on my Acer Extensa 5630z

the OS was working

sound, usb, wireless

i downloaded the latest iTunes and called it a night

i shut it down

i got to turn it on this morning and it load for about 30 seconds and give me the notice to turn it off, so i start it in Verbose Mode... apparently i have a kernel panic going on in the system

it said that it couldn't load the kext com.apple.driver.Appleusbehci

then it said after the blocks and whatever

Darwin Kernel Version 10.3.0 .....the dates..... root:xnu_1504.3.12~1/release_X86_64

it also performed a backtrace, which im a assuming was a direct cause due to the panic itself

the extension it listed was...

org.voodoo.driver.VoodooHDA(0.2.611)@0xffffff7f80a8700 -> 0xffffff7f80afff

any help as to what i could do to end this?

VoodooHDA is a community built kernel extension that drives Intel HD spec audio hardware.

Current release/development thread is over at the ProjectOSX forum.

Boot in safe mode with -x, this disables sound, and you can work from there.

If that doesn't work either, boot into single user mode with -s, follow the instructions at the prompt (telling you to run fsck, mount the drive for write access), then delete VoodooHDA from /System/Library/Extensions.
