Hey guys,

I've got the system up and running as some earlier posts indicate. My next question is, can I update the OS like normal over the internet, or will it kill my setup?

Second question, in the vsphere client the mouse is REALLY laggy. Is there a way to fix this?

third, can i get sound?

fourth, can i get a larger screen. I've tried adding ram for video, but the only option I have is for a rather small screen.

thanks and Merry Christmas!

Well done, glad to see you are up and running, and yes you can update your OS X over the internet as normal, I tend to use a bridged network setting rather than NAT, as I find it more reliable, but both network settings should work.

In terms of updates, the OS Combo ones like 10.6.5, I tend to download from the Apple website and then apply locally, rather than let software updates do it from within OS X, it appears to be more reliable, and less prone to failure.

The lag issue in vSphere Client appears to be inherent, you need to connect to you guest OS X via a VNC type client, having enabled the server function in OS X or used one of the many clone VNC servers available for OS X.

Sound may be an issue, not sure about the sound support under ESXi, if your hardware does support sound, and you are able to add sound to your configuration, then use Zenith432's sound driver included in Donk's 310 darwin iso, Zenith432's video drivers are also included which should help with your video question, increasing the video RAM will make no difference. A latter version of Zenith432's video driver is available at the link below, as are his latest audio and other related drivers:
