When I get to the part were you choose a language during the install process, my keyboard and mouse stop working.

I have tried both a PS/2 keyboard, and a usb keyboard.

My mouse is usb.

Their lights turn off, and plugging them back into different ports does not help. I'm using kakewalk to install.

This seems to be a common problem, but I can't find any answers.

Any help would be well appreciated!!!

I used both USB mouse and USB keyboard, but still no go.

1. Have you tried disabling USB Legacy/Storage support in BIOS so that only USB keyboard and USB mouse support is enabled until OS X is installed?

2. Have you tried booting with:

-v USBBusFix=yes

or

-v UHCIreset=yes

I have the same problem. Decided to re-install everything since I updated to 10.6.7 by mistake last night (was updating iTunes in the middle of the night, was very tired and missed to uncheck the OS update). Backed up my personal files to an external hard drive via windows 7 (dualbooting on different hdd) Had a lot of junk on it and needed to do this anyway to prepare for CS5.5 and Final Cut Pro X. Just didn't plan for it to happen like this.

But all my usb mice and keyboards (even tried apple ones) stop working the moment before language selections show. Tried unplugging and other ports, disable legacy and so on but no luck. And it is a retail disc I have (10.6.3)

Bought my hackintosh directly from PearC and their support seems to be closed for Easter and I'm kind of in a hurry. Don't know about -v and stuff like that (semi-noob) but PearC use Chameleon. Anyone?
