Will the nVidia Quadro NVS 290 run on snow leopard?

Also, i'm currently using two screens with this card on linux, using some sort of y-cable/breakout cable. will this also work on snow leopard? (since the card only has ONE dvi connector...)

Please post your BIOS, maybe it's possible but I gotta see the ROM.

How do i find out?

[edit] i may add that i dont need any 3D performance for games or something, since this is only an office desktop pc (dell barebone). Apart from a smooth desktop performance i would not need any gimmicks.

How do i find out?

You can use GPU-Z on Windows to dump your video card BIOS to a file:

http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

Then zip and attach it here so Krazubu can have a look at it.

What distribution / way of installation should i choose to get things working?

Retail Snow Leopard (10.6.3 if you can find it) install DVD + suitable boot CD or USB flash drive.

Im running linux, so i can't use GPU-Z. NVIDIA X Server Settings gave me something like this:

Graphics Processor: Quadro NVS 290

CUDA Cores: 16

VBIOS Version: 60.86.6b.00.23

Memory: 256 MB

Memory Interface: 64-bit

Bus Type: PCI Express x16

Bus ID: PCI:1:0:0

PCI Device ID: 0x042f

PCI Vendor ID: 0x10de

IRQ: 16

That of any use for you?

I'm sure there is a way to get a dump of the video card BIOS on Linux.

Now that you know the BIOS version, you could also look it up over on mvktech.net and see if they have a copy.

Or maybe you can find it at your video card manufacturer's website.
