Zeophlite
After completing my installation I found that both restarting and shutting down my SL hackintosh left me with on a black screen with white text, and would stop there. I installed OpenHaltRestart.kext (downloaded from this site, attachment to some post), and that fixed the restarting, but shutting down still doesn't work. I get the following message: com.apple.launchd 1 com.apple.launchd 1 System: Stray anonymous job at shutdown: PID 134 PPID 1 PGID 134 AppDaemon com.apple.launchd 1 com.apple.launchd 1 System: Stray anonymous job at shutdown: PID 67 PPID 1 PGID 67 AppDaemon com.apple.launchd 1 com.apple.launchd 1 System: Sending SIGTERM to PID 134 and continuing... com.apple.launchd 1 com.apple.launchd 1 System: Sending SIGTERM to PID 67 and continuing... com.apple.launchd 1 com.apple.fseventsd 0 Job was last (non-anonymous) to exit during system shutdown com.apple.launchd 1 com.apple.launchd 1 System: About to call: reboot(RB_HALT) syncing disks... Killing all processes continiuing unmount of /home failed (45) unmount of /net failed (45) done CPU halted and doesn't shut down. Is there anyway to fix this? Did I install the kext wrongly? Hangten
EvOReboot, Restart/shutdown fix for Snow Leopard If you fill in your signature and list what parts you have its a lot easier for people to help. DSDT working properly should fix a lot of issues + you want to run as close to Vanilla or Mac like as possible so you have zero issues with software. Goodluck ps ask MaLd0n, for to make you a DSDT if your not patched up. Install the latest Chameleon also with the preferance plane so you have a cool Chameleon GUI Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/239957-openhaltrestartkext_for_snow_64tar-allows-restart-but-not-shutdown/#findComment-1602680 Share on other sites

Ah but using the autopatcher from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=235523 with ASRock P55M-PRO did fix it! Now it shut downs and restarts normally!
