siryoink
I hate to dig up a Necro thread, but I have a MSI RD480 Neo2 with the Uli M1573 controller and can confirm I have SATA working with OS 10.5.5 ideneb v1.3 release. I did the initial install on an IDE drive, edited appleviaata.kext and added id 0x528710B9 to the info.plist. After placing the file back in the extensions folder, my sata drive appeared without even having to reboot! The partition was then copied to a secondary AF partition on my sata drive. (Using Carbon Cloner under OSX) This setup didn't seem to like using Chain0 to boot; I'm all ears if anyone has any suggestions for that. Currently booting with WinGRUB.
