Hangten
5870 is faster than a 6870 so why wait. 69xx seem to be delayed those are the faster one's. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/239683-sandy-bridge/#findComment-1600832 Share on other sites
crackintosh
maybe, but it would be nice to have the current generation working. the 6000 cards also have dual mini displayport and i plan on acquiring 2 27" apple cinema displays. i'm interested to see what the mATX/mITX offerings look like Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/239683-sandy-bridge/#findComment-1611231 Share on other sites
Dradis
Sandy Bridge chips will launch on the 9th. I think the date was pushed back. It's gonna be a great piece of hardware, but will it work for hackintosh? I'm buying mine ASAP either way, but it sure would be nice to have just one box under my desk. I'll let ya know how it goes. Mackilroy
People over at TonyMac have already installed OS X on Sandy Bridge systems, but they're using a hacked kernel which is less stable.
