You have used a distribution, while I would suggest you try the ##### + ##### method with a retail disk by tonymacx86. Try googling that. (the reason why I suggest this is because it's more reliable in the long run and will save you a lot of trouble if you want to upgrade later on, because you should be able to run a Vanilla kernel - or an unmodified version by hackers)

Also, I had the same problem as you with my iDeneb 1.6 Lite (10.5.8.) that halted at the same point as yours, and my problem was - guess what - VoodooPower kext for some power management, that I didn't even need and I had installed it. As soon as I removed that kext my system booted. So try that.

Boot into single user mode with '-s' in the Chameleon prompt.

Do a /sbin/mount -uw / to unmount the filesystem and then try removing kexts that could be causing conflicts, use your imagination a little bit, also as read all the outputs every time and forum replies of other people that have similar problems.

You remove a kext by typing:

rm -Rf /System/Library/Extensions/Nameofkext.kext

also, then you delete the mkext cache

rm /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

You can also try deleting the caches at /System/Library/Caches/*

I'm a noob here and i'm very new to this thing... So can u please tell me how to use voodooHDA 0.2.2

PLEASE PLEASE HELP

On the reinstall, try using the AppleHDA instead of VoodooHDA if you get the chance. Or try a deaf computer :D

Dude im not able to even boot into the Mac. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASEEEEEEEEE HELPP ME OUTT!!! :D :D

i would suggest you to look at the first replay, have you tried it?

i would also suggest you (like the first replay) to do a clean retail installation, you should know, a well installed osx can be a difficult thing if you are doing it incorrectly, and you may need to start over again, with "as much as you can" CLEAN Install.

you just need to do some googling and your fine

http://www.google.co.il/#hl=en&biw=110...07aff11eefac8b4

try one of those, with a retail installation and a vanilla kernel you will set the best configuration you can, and not with one of the distros

have luck

So you reinstalled Leohazard? Or is this with a retail disc through ##### or any other method?

Please, calm down, listen here for a bit :D

Many distributions are initially set up to work a bit differently upon booting the installer, also they have different packages in them. Not all of them work well. Leohazard 10.6.1 is outdated kexts I feel safe to say. Try ##### with retail, clean installation, you will not have graphics support straight away, but then you only have it out of the box in rare cases. Also, there is a great guide on another website by tonymacx86, google it. On his blog, there are links to all the tools you need + updates for 10.6.5.

I had the SAME experiences on my desktop computer I run iDeneb now - #####+##### didn't work, no chance, iAtkos v7 didn't work, SnowLeo worked, but there is no adequate support for my GPU in 10.6.x so I had to stick with Leopard only. See, there are MANY combinations, and just sticking to 1 blindly, is not good. Buy some empty dvds, get a 8GB USB stick and possibly 2-3 Dual Layer DVDs to be sure, prepare all the stuff and read up some more. Give it a few more shots, don't give up! Took me well over 2 weeks to be happy with my first rig when I was doing it!

Is there any other Image that is not by LeoHazard?

Is there any other Image that is not by LeoHazard?

there are plenty of OSX installs

which divided into 2 sections:

1. Retail DVD - This Retail everyone is talking about is the REAL MAC OSX DVD from apple, you have all kind of versions of this retail DVDs, if you are looking for a retail to SL, then it will be 10.6 retail or 10.6.3 (you can then update your version to the latest one),

2.Distros DVD Installation - this is an optimized installation, which created by various team (IAKTOS, Leohazard, etc...),

and it purpose is to be installed on various PC, without a much of a complications, this idea is great but it's not really helpful, cause every distro installation contains some drivers you don't always need, and some kernel optimizations which you don't want.

best this is to try a RETAIL installation with the VANILLA kernel (apple Untouched kernel), it will run the fastest and the smoothest (if you have done everything correctly).
