shrieken213
First off, I installed iAtkos v7 with correct drivers except SiS graphics. The very first time, it was fully functional. Then, after an update it wasn't bootable anymore, so I reinstalled. Ever since I couldn't use my CD/DVD IDE drive. So I'm wondering, can I install Snow Leopard and maybe fix this problem? So I get the most compatible Snow Leopard for me, iAtkos S3, and boot into it. I get an hour-long hang and a timeout error. -v gives this: Loaded HFS+ file: [system/Library?CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist] 475 bytes from 435b8d0. Loaded Darwin 10.6 Loading kernel mach_kernel Loaded HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] 4096 bytes from 435b8d0. And then it hangs there. Remember, this is only the 4th line of CHAMELEON V2 verbose. It doesn't even get to the DVD verbose. Then it hangs, times out, and I can't install or even BOOT into the DVD. Any help please? shrieken213
your GPU is not supported in OSXnot worth my opinion I thought I already expressed myself on SiS graphics chips... And that's why I'm even hacking this laptop. It sucks, even on Windows XP, so I tried Leopard and it's a lot faster. So in my case, even if my graphics is not supported, it's still a benefit for the speed. NOW...it won't boot into 1280x768x32 VESA. Chameleon says it's supported, but apparently not. It always did, now suddenly boom, no "good" graphics (my screen resolution is non-VESA 1280x800) I tried IOATAFamily.kext, now my HDD shows as a removable drive WTF? It's orange!
