NiNshiM
I'm trying to install Retail SL on my Asrock Conroe1333-DVI/H mobo following this guide: http://tonymacx86.blogspot.com/2010/04/ibo...ac-os-x-on.html, but when I try to boot ##### CD i get the error "EBIOS Read Error: Controller or Device error". Well, the mobo isn't set to ACHI because I couldn't find that option in the BIOS, and the firmware I'm using is 2.xx. I read somewhere I can't remember that it doens't work with firmwares greater than 1.10. So, could any or both of these facts explain the error? If so, could you tell me what to do in order to fix it? Are there any risks in downgrading the firmware?

NiNshiM
Dude, I searched almost the whole web to look for a fix but I can't find it. However, I found out that the majority of people having this issue say that their BIOS doesn't have the ACHI mode option, therefore they can't change it. So this HAS to be the source of the error, I can't see another way. There are plenty reports of succeded instalations of SL on this mobo. Can someone please help out here? How do I set the mobo to AHCI if I don't have that option?
