Dinoisme
I have the self-assigned IP problem. This is my first OSx86 installation. I've looked through the internets, and I've found no kext. For some reason, Google mixes it up with the 8111, which has been graced with a kext. It's for the Asus P7P55D LE (and it seems the P7P55D). If anyone has any info on this, I would greatly appreciate it. UPDATE: It turns out it was a hardware issue, not software. Works fine now. Dinoisme
I tried the ##### method and that didn't work either - now I'm simply getting cable unplugged. (It's not) Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/239168-solved-realtek-8112l/#findComment-1597551 Share on other sites

(It's not) There seems to be a DSDT file for your motherboard in the DSDT database here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/dsdt.php Using ##### with the specific DSDT for your MB may provide all the pieces that you need. scififan68
Not sure if this kext will work or not, but its worth a try: http://lnx2mac.blogspot.com/ Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/239168-solved-realtek-8112l/#findComment-1598176 Share on other sites

I have only the original 10.6 DVD, and I am able to go about doing anything, including getting all the way through ##### (including using my mobo's DSDT). I'm simply getting the Self Assigned IP Address error, no matter what I try. Not sure if this kext will work or not, but its worth a try: http://lnx2mac.blogspot.com/ I discovered that yesterday, and I was incredibly excited. Until it didn't work. Dinoisme
New developments: I installed a clean #####, with just UserDSDT and my .aml on the desktop, and I'm getting 100% fans, black screen issue. I think I'm narrowing down this problem. Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/239168-solved-realtek-8112l/#findComment-1599210 Share on other sites
