kitchyk00
Hey guys. So I done about 3-4 days research on installing OSX on my Samsung R530. However, there seems to be a few varieties of my specific laptop. I am able to boot the disc and get it to install using iATKOS S3 V2 as advised here. However, as soon as I boot into the new install it kernel panics. I've tried just using the default options but this doesn't seem to fix my issue. Now the specs described on that link above aren't the specs of my laptop. Mine are as follows: - Intel Celeron Dual Core Processor T3300 2.0GHz Intel GMA 4500M 802.11 b/g/N BGN_A2 - Atheros AR5B95 Intel® GL40 + ICH9M Now I might be using the wrong OSX install to install this on my system. Is anyone willing to just slightly nudge me in the correct direction so I can get this working? I don't want to be spoon fed as you don't learn anything that way. However, if someone could say which would be the best way to install OSX with my specs that would be great. Maybe using this? Any help would be fantastic guys/girls. Thanks
kitchyk00
Okay after installing it again, I noticed this time that it only got about 75% of the way through and then the little spinning timmer comes up and it reboots. Image is below. Any idea why it only gets so far?

TotallyWillem
Okay so I've finally got it all installed and booted. Just need to install wifi, audio and my display drivers. Let the fun begin I guess. I am also trying to instal mac os to my Samsung R530. I completed the install but I can't get my wifi drivers running. If you have, could you tell me how you did this? Greets!
sparkythewondersquid
You will not get the GMA4500 going people have been trying that for years now although with some trial and error you can get native resolution at least. Audio use voodooHDA.kext there are a few versions install with kext utility if one doesn't work try another I would try the one from voodoo projects first. Wireless is another one that can be a pain in the a**! look for Atherosfix.kext by Netkas and give it a go Good Luck:)
