Bubonic Pestilence
Good time of day. I'm interested in upgrading my 8600GT 512MB to something more productivly. From friend, i got GTX 260 896MB, and tested it with 10.6.5 + NVEnabler, works very perfectly, but, it's hard to get it(can't find in shops). And now i came here... to get some information about best GTX cards 1. First Hackintosh: (antoher friend, who wish to upgrade his video) ASUS P5B-VM Core 2 Duo 2.4 8800GTS 384 MB Hackintosh 10.6.4 Works good, but Civ 5 and other games lags as my grandma moves over street... Generally, he don't play much, but he want to play some games, like Civ 5. 8800GTS 384 works perfectly with Civ 5 on a Windows. 2. My Hackintosh: Intel DQ45CB Core 2 Quad 9550 2.83 nVidia 8600GT 512 MB Hackintosh 10.6.5 LAGS, LAGS and one more time LAGS! In games Burnout Paradise -> Perma laggy {censored} for this video. Civ 5 -> Perma lag. P.S. On my mac(2) with GTX 260, Burnout Paradise and Civ 5 GOT NO LAGS AT ALL AT MAX SETTINGS! ======================= NOW WHAT I WANT ======================= Now i got money... to upgrade video cards. And i need some suggestions. In my country, is hardly to get GTX 2xx videos. What you can recommend to get (i.e. GTX 485? 480? And what problems i can achieve with them, some skills: - i dont use DSDT - i can use GraphicsEnabler - i can use Kexts - i USING Raid on my Mac(2) Thanks to all replies, and critics And sorry for bad english Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/238746-best-supported-gtx-card/ Share on other sites
