ditchmagnet
I am trying to install on this board, and it is in the HCL: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...L_10.6.3#Asrock I am using ##### to load the iATKOS install disk, I select the patches used, it goes through install, but then the computer never makes it to the OSX welcome video. Can anyone offer any pointers? Thanks.
ditchmagnet
I was able to install using ##### + retail 10.6. I am only able to boot into safe mode though. If I try to boot in normal mode I get GSOD. I am going to run ##### and hope that helps. How can I find out why it is giving GSOD? EDIT: booting with -v off of the ##### CD results in the following: ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin: :start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement) timed out I have included a picture as well. So does anyone know what the problem is? I can still boot with -x and safe mode will work, but I would like to get this figured out. Thanks. ditchmagnet
Well, I have been working on this all day, and have been able to get an almost fully functional system with 10.6.5. i5 760 4GB RAM 1TB hard drive GTX460 768MB QE/CI working Network -working Sound is not currently working. But seems like everything else is fine. Getting over 6k in geekbench right now, which I think should be about right. I just like that this dirt cheap 1156 motherboard ($62) is working so well so far. EDIT: I just installed a kext through ##### to see if it fixed restart (seems like shutdown is fine, but restart goes to a black screen and I have to manually restart) - but then I am getting GSOD. Safe boot works, so I am going to remove it and see if that works. EDIT: Removing the kext made it work again. So Shut down works fine, restart only partially works, and sleep does not work at all. Not a huge deal. Really I just want sound to work now and I'll call it a day. EDIT: Got sound working with VooDooHDA 0.2.61. Installed through #####. Very happy. The audio function is the most important as I'm planning to build one for my friend. It's a cheap motherboard, with i3-540 or i3-550 & GTS 450 (spared the i5 for a better GPU, IMHO). I think of it as a nice value gaming build with a Mac SL in it. What do you think?

fninetwo
What, why does everyone say the ASRock H55M-LE is bad and you should get a Gigabyte board if it works good? Does anyone of you have issues with the ASRock H55M-LE or is it a working board? Thanks
