cyberdrive
Hiya! I am using iAtkos S3 v2 and sound on my onboard Gigabyte P965 DS4 worked perfect. After that i installed graphics drivers for my new gtx 460. In that tutorial it is necessary to install 10.6.5 & Chameleon 2.0 RC5. Now my ALC 888 isn´t detected any more. Maybe you do have a hint for me? Cyber edit: i think it´s because of the HDMI on the GTX
cyberdrive
It´s the 10.6.5 update not the Chameleon which messes my sound completely up. I tried: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...1638&st=320 result: panic http://www.tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=...2d2c68fa8f5d757 original kext with HDAEnabler included: 10.6.4 + HDAEnabler from #####: You got any idea? In both cases OS X doesn´t find any out- nor input-device Cyber
cyberdrive
I tried the voodoohda.kext and i got it installed. It shows up in System Preferences. When playing on my e-piano i do hear the sound comming from the speakers correctly. When i do play mp3´s or e.g. samples of garage band i do see the volume-meter going up and down but no sound comming out of the speakers. Do you have any idea how to get the sound out of mp3´s work? In System Preferences - Audio i do have 4x Digital Output listed. I selected each on its own but none working. As i am using a Logitech 5.1 X540 sound system i guess i don´t need digital output. Am i right with that? Cyber edit: reply moved to VoodooHDA-Topic.
cyberdrive
With voodooHDA installed i am able to controll the working line-in volume with the line in or the iMix-controller. Is there a way to disable HDMI of the graphics card? Or maybe to redirect the audio to the ALC888?
