  1. Hallo!
  2. HP DV7 - KP when booting

Installation worked flawlessly! Now i do have to fix the dual-link problem (only left half screen visible) but both graphics cards got detected OOB. Cyber
  3. HP DV7 - KP when booting

Thanks very much! I will give it a try and report back. Just have to get access to OS X at a friend´s for restoring the DMG-File to USB Cyber
  4. HP DV7 - KP when booting

I do think that AHCI is always ON at this BIOS. As of my CPU (i5 2410M, 2,3GHz) i calculated the busratio of 17. Is that correct? Tried several boot parameters: Hazard: -v busratio=17 leads to: Local APIC Error -v busratio=17 cpus=1 panic(cpu 0 caller 0x001A8FFD): Kernel trap at 0x7cf57385... see screen in post 1 as of my 2 graphic cards inserted (INTEL HD3000 and ATI 6770M) i tried: -v busratio=17 GraphicsEnabler=No leads to: Local APIC Error -v busratio=17 cpus=1 graphicsenabler=No see panic message in post 1 Somebody got an idea where to dig in next? Help would be greatly appreciated! Cyber
  5. HP DV7 - KP when booting

Tried iDeneb and Kalyway - no help at all. Kernel panics at same stage when booting - CallerID´s are different to each Distribution. Does somebody know how to enable AHCI on that Bios pls? Cyber
  6. HP DV7 - KP when booting

Hiya Community! Once more i do need your great support! Hopefully you can help me out of this: I recently bought a HP Pavilion DV7 6101eg with i5 and Intel HD3000 graphics (2nd graphics card is AMD 6770M). As i have already installed iAtkos on my Desktop i do know already some basics about OS X. I tried installing OS X with HAZARD´s 10.6.1-10.6.2 DVD and the following boot options got me to panic 0x001A8FFD: -v busratio=17 cpus=1 ^^ this is only the 2nd page of text, first page scrolled by way too fast for my mobile cam - try to catch that later with my DSLR Could you pls give me any advice so i get 1 step further? What do you guess, what´s wrong or missing? Do you recommend any other Distro? I do guess BIOS-Settings could be the problem - but unfortunately there aren´t much options to change in this BIOS like AHCI... Thanks very much in advance! Cyber

hiya Dari! I am about to buy a new laptop too and i am curious what you did. Which one did you buy? Greetz Cyber
  8. I managed to skip HDMI Audio by using voodooHDA.kext Edit the VALUES in info.plist as mentioned above (just use HEX-Code) for: VoodooHDAVidSkip: 0x10de VoodooHDADivSkip: 0x0beb See post from cue8chalk and his voodooHDA.kext: The nvidia device is my HDMI device, with the vendorid:deviceid of 10de:0beb. Run calculator and convert that value (10de0beb - note, I removed the colon). If you're unfamiliar with how to do that: 1. Open calculator 2. Go to the View menu and choose Programmer 3. Click on the "16" button in the upper-right hand corner. This will put the calculator in hexidecimal mode. 4. Paste (or type) the value retrieved from lspci 5. Hit the "10" button to see the value as a decimal Once you have that decimal value, just paste it into the <integer></integer> part of VoodooHDASkipDevice. That worked for me. I don´t know which version you use but i think you should manage to identify the version of modification (1 string or 2 strings to enter), you need. If it´s not working - call back in here. 9. Geforce 460GTX Supported!

I had the same specs when not using pciroot=1 in my com.apple.Boot.plist <key>PciRoot</key> <string>1</string> Cyber

  12. [Solved] How to use ALC888 (onboard) instead of HDMI audio?

Got it working: Thx to that topic: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=220707 Solution is disabling/skipping the HDMI in voodooHDA.kext. Cyber

  14. [Solved] How to use ALC888 (onboard) instead of HDMI audio?

With voodooHDA installed i am able to controll the working line-in volume with the line in or the iMix-controller. Is there a way to disable HDMI of the graphics card? Or maybe to redirect the audio to the ALC888?
  15. VoodooHDA

I tried the voodoohda.kext on my Gigabyte P965 DS4 and i got it installed. It shows up in System Preferences. When playing on my e-piano (connected via line-in) i do hear the sound comming from the speakers correctly. When i do play mp3´s or e.g. samples of garage band i do see the volume-meter going up and down but no sound comming out of the speakers. Do you have any idea how to get the sound out of mp3´s work? In System Preferences - Audio i do have 4x Digital Output listed. I selected each on its own but none working. As i am using a Logitech 5.1 X540 sound system i guess i don´t need digital output. Am i right with that? Cyber
