I have completed (upon request) also a FireWire injector.

It functions in the same way as AppleUSBMergeNub or DeviceMergeNub.

The default plist contains the class injector for DVD drives (can be modified to inject anything anywhere on any FireWire device).

Download including sources:

http://rapidshare.com/files/433343826/FireWireMergeNub.zip

The kext is under build/Release. :P

Download for Tiger / Leopard / Snow Leopard:

The kext is under build/Release (Tiger/Leopard)

LOL very deep cosmetics :D

How it works? just put in S/L/E and repair permission? isn't it?

No way for this class of injector to works via Extra folder?

Thanks for this too. The harddrive thread was great got it working with my two DVDs, had probs lately with one of them but it´s gone now. The usb topic got closed before I got the time to reply but the usb noname dvd I have I think just doesn´t work and it only shows up numeric in the registry explorer. Thanks anyway for the offer to help out.

Yep, it only works from within /S/L/E... (because of the dependencies being inside /S/L/E)
