PG Studio
Hi Guys, I just installed Snow Leopard using my Retail DVD and using the Empire EFI CD to boot and then, selecting the drive with my Mac OS system. Now, i want/need to install Chameleon to avoid needing the CD to boot and also to change some plist files (com.apple.boot.plist to add GraphicsEnabler Yes for my GTX 460). I've seen some how-tos but im still confused. Is there any step by step tutorial to install Chameleon from scratch ?? (I've seen also some updates tutorial, that doesn't work for me) Thanks for your time.. Some other way to solve this? there's an unofficial installer in the "new releases" section of this forum. that'll be simplest http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=231075 I found that, if I disconnected the WINDOWS 7 hard disk, Then the Chameleon will show up and work. Or if I switch the physical order of the two disk, the Chameleon will show too. but then I can't go from there to Windows 7, it asks me to remove the drive then press any key to restart. I don'k now how to solve this. Peter_sm
I think you need to go in to the BIOS and arrange your disks so the MAC disk is the first one, try that Or remove the MAC disk and the repair your windows boot loader //Peter Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/238254-help-how-to-install-chameleon/#findComment-1592276 Share on other sites
Gringo Vermelho
FYI: Booting Windows with a boot loader installed on another drive breaks hibernation. One way to get around this is to install the EasyBCD boot selector on your Windows drive and then use that to start Chameleon on the other drive whenever you want to boot into OS X. I use the BIOS boot menu (F8) to select my OS X drive whenever I want to boot into OS X. Default boot drive is the Windows drive. Problem solved, Hibernation works.
