NOW, this method DEFINITELY works in Leopard, but, It may work in Snow Leopard. I installed the package, no kernel failure or anything, and my wifi light pops on, and I have a new airport connection when I boot up!!! BUT!! Mac OS X, I think, confuses the ethernet with the wifi, I've edited the plist file and the networkinferfaces file, those help if you need to add your chipset, but overall no luck. But I feel like there's some kind of thing that I'm missing here, so, I kinda want someone who's more experienced to me to install this package, and see if they can get it to work! It seems like it's easier than I'm making it. I'm pretty sure this is the problem, but it might not be, if it isn't what is!? And what's the solution!

GUIDE:

I would install the package first.

YUP, It's a dell 1545 Broadcom Package, but it works. (more or less)

And then, goto your networkinterfaces.plist file, and change both of those entries to en1 and 1. Most likely before, your card wasn't even recognized, now it will be. This is where I am so far. It doesn't cause kernel panic or anything for me, it just takes a minute to install.

So, if anyone has any idea at all!! It would be greatly helpful, this topic has been worked on since Snow Leopard was released, then all those people who switched out their cards will feel like idiots unfortunately... <_< But! Advances take sacrifice.

I think that we're all really close to this, and it would help A lotttttttttttttttttt of people.

This topic has huge problems:

1: what wifi chipset are you trying to make work?

2: 32 or 64 bit snow leopard?

3: have you succeeded?, if so how, it's not clear from your writing.

4: Is there a problem?, if so what, see #3

Pretty Much, the Broadcom 4315 or the Broadcom 4312, most of all others work, I kinda of have it working, it's 32-bit Snow-Leopard, but it should be fine in 64-bit. What's wrong is, that once I install that package, and try to turn on the airport, it doesn't turn on. I just get a x over the blank airport wifi icon, and when I goto System Prefs, And Try to turn it on nothing happens. When I went to System Profiler, it says that my wifi and ethernet are both using the same Kext, the Airportbcrm4311.kext in the IO82111.kext. Sorry if that's wrong, I'm doing this from memory. Ik this topic has been worked on for about a year or 2.
