Dradis
I don't know if this is even possible, but it sure would be nice. I have a Gateway XHD3000 and when I turn it on I am greated by a Gateway logo for about 3 seconds. Needless to say, this is the last thing I care to see. I know this image is stored in a ROM chip or something inside the monitor. Is there any way to flash that to a different image? I've tried to google it, but found nothing. Maybe I searched the wrong terms, or maybe it just can't be done. Anyway, if any of you programer/hacker types might know how to do this, please share. Thanks. U.C.
This is what I did. I connected it to my Mac. It showed the actual Model Number. I googled this model number and found out its an LG Panel, made by some chinese brand, just rebadged and sold. Then further googling got me the service manual, from which I disabled the logo. Simple. BTW AFAIK you cant remove the wait, coz thats the time it takes for the panel to initialize.
