OSX86 Install DVDs

I hear many kinds of OSX86 DVD Install disks: Jas, Myzar, Goat, Semjazar (sp?) Updates, etc.

I personally have: MaC.OsX.10.4.5.Universal.Install.DVD(INTEL:AMD:SSE3:SSE2)

So... here are two questions:

1. Is mine, Universal, one of the above, or is it another kind?

2. How do they differ from each other?

The point being, why work on many kind of "distributions" (akin to Linux flavors), and not focus on one perfect version (akin to Slackware and/or RedHat in the primordial time of Linux).

well the different versions come from different hackers incorporated with different patches. That's the same reason for all the linux distros (just from different developers)

If you are willing to get another one, I would gt a newer version, the newest version for amd is 10.4.6, and intel users can get 10.4.7. I went with jas 10.4.6 but you are prolly best just to experiment and find the best for you. The differences between them aren't huge
