Restart - again

I don’t know why restart isn’t working I just get a black screen . When I shutdown it works but it needs more than 10 seconds instead of 2.

 

I have OpenHaltRestart.kext in /E/E and have a patched dsdt.aml in root. Without the kext it hangs differently.

 

System: AMD Athlon 64 Single Core on a A8N5X with 4GB RAM

 

It worked once but after reinstalling „Retail" I probably missed something.

I just discovered that it reboots perfectly when I connect through VNC. In that case the QE is somehow not active, so it could be the reason. But how to fix it? Especially how to get QE with VNC…

I read that RC5 has a lot power management. Will this make NullCPUPowermanagement.kext obsolete?

 

 

 

Edit: Just had the first KP with RC5 while booting. But the restart doesn’t work at all. Switching back to RC4.

 

With the OpenHaltRestart.kext restart only doesn’t work when a Dell keyboard is connected. Do you have a clue why?
