holyfield
Many people have upgraded their Hackintoch's to 10.6.5, but have encountered problem with sleepenabler.kext, which causes KP (kernel panic) or does not wake the comp from sleep. You can download latest source of sleepenabler.kext from: ✹ http://code.google.com/p/xnu-sleep-enabler/ I have made very small bug-fix in code mentioned above and compiled source to use with latest kernel. Sleep should work fine again now. Important note: If you are using NullCPUPowerManagement.kext you still might encounter the KP. So, its up to you either remove Sleepenabler or NullCPUPowerManagement to avoid kernel panic. Package below includes also kext installation tool. Just drag kext into Kext Utility icon and follow wizard. enb14
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think latest Chameleon boot loader loads SpeedStep values so the temperatures should be cooler with that bootloader Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/237212-mac-os-x-snow-leopard-165-sleepenabler/#findComment-1584446 Share on other sites

boreas
@enb14 : I'm using Chameleon RC5. Do I have to set some key for SpeedStep values? enb14
@enb14 : I'm using Chameleon RC5. Do I have to set some key for SpeedStep values? I think Chameleon RC5 has SpeedStep on the fly without having to do nothing. But I wanna hear from somebody to confirm this.
