Please help us with this, i used the line from the wiki. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23709-boot-plist-getting-annoying/ Share on other sites
WillyDavidK
It didn't work for me either, but you can achieve the same thing by typing "Graphics Mode"="1600x1200x32@85" (with quotes) - or whatever you want it to be at the Darwin prompt. Also I found that no matter how high I aspired to in the former command, it would only go up as high as a certain resolution. Later after I installed Callisto and got the list of resolutions from within os x I could see that it was 1280x1024. Hope this helps. lbraasch
easiest way to see if your resolution is supported is in the darwin loader screen to type "?video" it will give you a list of resolutions that your system supports in osx. ѕӎѳѳ₮ңӌ
Ill try the ?video command, thanks. I have the boris solution working great but the resolution only takes effect after i log in. The login screen is larger than my 17" screen, and the apple before that is the same size! EDIT** I booted up in safe mode, and that has the resolution of the apple ytwirly screen i want but the same resolution of the login screen. I tried typing the graphics mode thing at the darwin prompt, it went through but has the same resolution as it always does. EDIT 2 Ran ?video, the resolution i have selected should work. WillyDavidK
try booting up without -x and you shouldn't have to go through a login screen (that is if you aren't oen of the several that has to boot with -x to get the system to come up) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/23709-boot-plist-getting-annoying/#findComment-157906 Share on other sites

I like having the login screen though. Isnt there anyway to change the resolution of the login screen?
