silentdragoon
Hi there. I'm running Snow Leopard on my old(ish) Inspiron 1520, which is equipped with a 2.2GHz Centrino Duo, 2.5GBs of RAM, and a Nvidia 8600M GT graphics card. I am running Chameleon RC5 boot loader, and various Voodoo kexts for keyboard, battery, and sound. The 8600M GT, although showing up fine in 'About My Mac', doesn't seem to be enabling 3D graphics -- I've tried optimistically launching StarCraft II but no dice I've used ##### to install NVEnabler, but it doesn't appear to have done anything. Any ideas? I'm happy to provide system logs or anything else if they would be helpful
silentdragoon
I fixed it! I installed OS X again, but this time didn't install any of the graphics kexts on the CD. Then I used #####'s default settings (no graphics options), restarted and now I have 3D graphics (as confirmed in Torchlight). Yay!
