beckyjc
Am running XP, and have been looking into dual booting it with os x leopard. My pc has dual core AMD processor, 2gig of RAM, 500 gig hard drive, sse2 + sse3 support, nVidia geforce 6600 Not exactly a hunk of junk, its quite a powerfull computer, though pretty outdated. I have the basic knowledge of this, ive partitioned my hard drive and what not. I tried burning iDeneb to a usb stick, using ultraISO frankly this isnt working, it just hangs at "start booting from USB Device" so ill probably have to get hold of a DVD to burn it to. If anyone can offer a better way to burn to usb, would be appreciated. Also trying iAtkos, waiting for it to download. Mostly this is because i wanna try out Logic 9, and i really like the mac OS, my experiance with macs in college is that its a much nicer and more effeciant system for me to use. I AM NOT uprgading to windows 7, im hearing too many horror stories of the lack of proper support for audio software/hardware, and it wont support the Mbox 1. But ive been hearing that these "hackintoshes" are all pretty buggy. Would it not support an mbox interface or run with protools/logic? Besides that i just want it for basic stuff, using interweb, msn messenger, maybe some word processing. I dont really want to have to go through some long procedure of making it work... Any thoughts/help on the matter would be appreciated. Am i stuck with XP?
pal0bre
if you have a foxconn, gigabte, or asus motherboard then you're golden. the gpu is a little weird, not sure about full hardware acceleration for graphics but it will work
beckyjc
Hey i burnt iDeneb to DVD its booting fine. Im having an issue now where iDeneb wont recognize my hard drive partitions. I had a look around google, and tried using disk utility to format it to Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Checking the drive again it wouldnt verify and the format appeared to be FAT16. I used Acronis Disk Director to format this partition to FAT32. My motherboard is ASUS. The hard drive interface is SATA-II. Theres no option to enable AHCI in the bios. pal0bre
First Make Sure The Partition Table Is Set To GUID, Then Format As Mac Os Extended (Journaled) About The AHCi Sata Mode, If You Boot Successfully Into The Install DvD Then You Dont Need Anythin' To Touch In BiOS,

Any software you can reccomend. I tried wiping the disk again, leaving it unformatted, since apparenlty os X wont recognize FAT32. It completed the format "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)". Then i checked it again, it said it was unformated, and couldnt be verified.
pal0bre
The MacOsX Disk Utility Can Do That, Just Click On Your Hard Drive(not partition) an click new partition table, once there instead of clicking MBR, select GUID, WARNING - This WILL erase everythin' on your hard drive
