Hangten
Hackintosh isn't for the faint hearted. I already spent as much for an imac easily, but worth every penny. Love my computer. Take the plunge if your up for a challenge and have time to learn and trouble shoot. OS X runs excellent for how I use it. Not sure about perfectly, I'm overclocked so that in it self is a scope out of some of the ways it needs to be set up for take example sleep and raw power. My SATA all 10 work and all ten have been used at once. Added fans for that to keep temps down. My cooling is ridiculous. People comment " your computer looks wicked sitting there". I had to mod the case to fit my IFX-14. I recommend the use of a SSD or two (windows 7). I recommend a nvidia GTX 285 I recommend the little bluetooth USB adapter for all apple peripherals I recommend Intel CPU I recommend a p55 Gigabyte platform to go with that intel cpu (x58 came out first but unless your running a hexacore mostlikely overkill. I recommend an aluminum case (Lian li) I recommend a very good practical power supply (PC Power & Cooling 850 is overkill) I recommend at least a tera of storage and a few HDD for image CCC backups and recovery. I recommend a USB flash boot loader setup as safety also. Start with digesting THIS HERE. Thanks tonymac and all Quote Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/236169-setting-up-a-desktop-to-run-mac/#findComment-1576154 Share on other sites
