Hi all.

My SL Installation requires a lot of time to boot up, like 60 seconds or more.

And in the post-boot, when loading the desktop, it takes like 10 seconds <.<.

How can i boost it ?

I have to wait like two minutes or more to have the desktop ready to use!

I'm using a vanilla installation on a i7 on an intel X58 ( ICH10R in AHCI )

Thanks!

Edit.

I have noticed that the post-boot ( desktop loading ) is much slower using the NVEnabler. How cai I fix it ?

I got a XFX GTX250

Edit2:

Sorry on the bad english!

Yeah, try applying the standard IRQ fixes to the DSDT as outlined by THe KiNG here:

Bonus troubleshooting tip:

Open Console.app and look at the time stamps in System or Kernel.log to pinpoint exactly where in the boot process it's stalling.

DSDT&FakeSMC Updated, Kernel errors fixed + SSD = 15 seconds boot :D

I wish people where not so lazy. No mention of the specific kernel errors, and how you have fixed them. Same for the DSDT changes. Imagine someone coming here to find... well basically nothing useful. And if it was fixed with help of the provided link (by Gringo Vermelho) then at least confirm it, because now it's just a waste of peoples time. Bah!

1000% agree.. I would love some clearer explanation of exactly what you did. Lots of people face the same issues and there completely unknown until someone points them out.
