Hello everyone,

I am trying to install Snow leopard (iATKOS S3 v2) on my Thinkpad T41. Install screen hangs at apple logo. Based on my experience with 10.5.7 installation i am thinking its an issue with ACPI driver. I had to use the legacy driver included in 10.5.7 to successfully boot.

Now i want to know

1. Is there way i can force the chameleon boot loader to into command line (no gui) mode when i am booting from DVD? This gives me option to see where the error is.

2. IF i can, how to make the installation use legacy driver?

3. Is there a way i can change the dvd (patch the files or anything else) to make it use legacy driver?

Appreciate any help.

I tried that already. I have Win XP on one partition. When i hit F8 it just shows me the windows partition and DVD and let me choose. Once i select DVD it just goes into install GUI.

I noticed that F8 let me go into command mode with Chameleon 1.0 and also read in the release notes that there is a configuration file somewhere on DVD which specifies "no gui" option. I don't know how to i find that file on the dvd and change it and update.
