I've been trying to get OS X on my Foxconn NT-330i. I dont care if its 10.5 or 10.6. Heres a link to the vendor site: http://www.foxconnchannel.com/product/Bare...330i/index.html

Heres the lspci -nn output:

Its basically an nvidia ION based system which uses Atom 330 processor. I have 2GB RAM installed and connected to a Dell 2209WA (1680x1050) monitor.

I have tried guides to installing Snow Leopard on similar systems but I keep failing. So I would like to start from a clean slate. Here are the things I have:

1. Snow Leopard 10.6

2. Leopard 10.5 DVD

2. 16GB USB flash drive

3. Macbook running 10.5.8

I want to use the USB flash drive to install. I know I need to create a partition and restore Snow Leopard / Leopard DVD to it. Then I need to install Chameleon bootloader.

But now here are my problems:

1. Chameleon bootloader I get doesn't seem to have an installer app

2. Where do I get kexts which are needed to boot my box?

3. How do I know what kexts are required for my machine?

4. Whats a DSDT and do I really need to modify it?

If you were to go about trying to install OS X on this box, what are the steps you'd follow? Help me out guys, please!

Thanks :)

Hi, i've followed the guide and it worked fine, ..... eventually ! I've taken it up to 10.6.6 with a different kernel for 10.6.6 from google and it worked a charm. The only problems I have had is (and it maybe me) but i tested the build a few times by installing from a 2nd mac, but i have had the build boot but no USB, so rebuilt, now i have two builds, supposedly identical, one has no audio detected, and the other has audio, but its analogue only (via s/pdif)

Running 4GB of ram and a 120GB HDD i find plex runs most movies fine, but struggles with 1080p mkvs. Running XBMC seems a lot better and smoother, so i am trying to find out if i can tune plex a bit more as i prefer that. Anyone have any simillar issues, I'm new here and i cant post in the "official guide" forum. I also bought a BT dongle for £1.50 and the magic trackpad and BT keyboard work without problems (although you can't turn BT off, on stop it being discoverable)

Thanks

EDIT. I downloaded and installed ALC888_AppleHDA_199f12_LayoutID_888.zip from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=140941 using kext helper, now a have optical out working with 5.1 passthrough :-)
