kevintroy
Hi guys, im trying to follow this tutorial to get a 1366x768 resolution but I can't seem to get it to work properly, can anybody give me a step-by-step tutorial on how to do it? http://deviato.wordpress.com/2010/02/24/chameleon-2-rc4-for-intel-gma-version-2/ I've checked and upon booting, I am definitely using Chameleon v2 RC4 my Graphics Card is a Intel GMA 4500M so this should work for me right? this is what my com.apple.boot.plist looks like, is this correct? ive changed it in Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration and I also copied the file com.apple.boot.plist to /Extra <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?><!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>Boot Graphics</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1366x768x32</string> <key>Quiet Boot</key> <string>No</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> </dict> </plist> \

Did you copied "boot" file at the root of your partition ? $ cd Desktop/ChameleonMR2 $ sudo cp boot /

Did you copied "boot" file at the root of your partition ? $ cd Desktop/ChameleonMR2 $ sudo cp boot / yup i definitely did that, do I have to boot in arch=i386 or -f -x -s etc? my computer seems to not load well when i try to boot in arch=i386 and -f etc, it can take up to 10 restarts for the wheel to start spinning on the apple screen, but on normal (64-bit) mode it loads 99% of the time first go EDIT: just remembered, I have installed some graphics kexts before (it was either X4500 kexts or patched X3100, is it possible those are interfering with it?
