gameace99
Hey guys, I am pretty new to hackintoshing, and I now have an almost perfectly working HP mini 210. I am trying to get the Wifi to work, and I am following http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=206397 to do so. I have to install a couple kexts in /Extra/AdditionalExtensions/, but I don't have a folder named "AdditionalExtensions" so I am assuming I can just make one. Second, I looked around but found no real answer, If I would install a kext to this folder, how would I do so? Would I do all the command line jazz as per http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...php/t18757.html and then click UpdateExtra? Or do I just copy and paste and then run UpdateExtra? Thanks, gameace guys plz respond quick im in a huge rush... didn't anticipate that Hackintosh would take this long
3.14r2
By "AdditionalExtensions" is probably /Extra/Extensions is hidden. Or do I just copy and paste and then run UpdateExtra?Depending on what functions "UpdateExtra" perform, you may just copy/past and the "UpdateExtra" should do the rest. Honestly, I don't know what this particular application does.
Gringo Vermelho
Me neither but yes, permissions and ownership don't matter on kernel extensions (or any other files) in /Extra, only in /System/Library/Extensions.
