kevintroy
Hey guys, got iAtkos v7 up and running, all works great except my wireless, I can't set it up and Im guessing my wireless card isn't supported, here are my computer specs and my wireless drivers: Acer Aspire 5738Z Intel Pentium Processor T4400 (2.2 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) Intel GMA 4500M Up to 796 MB DVMT Acer Nplify 802.11b/g/n 2GB Ram 250GB HDD - Broad om NetXtreme 57xx Network Drivers - Atheros AR5008 Wireless Network Drivers What are my options in terms of trying to get it to work? if i NEED to buy a new wireless card (I'd rather not) then it needs to also be compatible with Windows 7. I'm also not looking to spend a lot of money. I'm in the UK so if i need to buy something, it must be from a UK store Would buying a USB dongle work? something like this: Click Here EDIT: oops, realised that this should have been in the "Hardware Components and Drivers" section, sorry Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/234891-wireless-not-working-what-are-my-options/ Share on other sites

If that's the case you will not get your wireless to work on your Aspire. I've already had many headaches messing with that. However, if you install Iatkos v3, the 10.6.2 version, your wireless should get picked up during the install as an Airport device. Or any Snowleopard for that matter. I'm pretty sure that's the card I had in my acer. Just do a google on that device with osx86 attached to it.
