Hey guys, got iAtkos v7 up and running, all works great except my wireless, I can't set it up and Im guessing my wireless card isn't supported, here are my computer specs and my wireless drivers:

Acer Aspire 5738Z

Intel Pentium Processor T4400 (2.2 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)

Intel GMA 4500M Up to 796 MB DVMT

Acer Nplify 802.11b/g/n

2GB Ram

250GB HDD

- Broad om NetXtreme 57xx Network Drivers

- Atheros AR5008 Wireless Network Drivers

What are my options in terms of trying to get it to work? if i NEED to buy a new wireless card (I'd rather not) then it needs to also be compatible with Windows 7. I'm also not looking to spend a lot of money. I'm in the UK so if i need to buy something, it must be from a UK store ;)

Would buying a USB dongle work? something like this:

EDIT: oops, realised that this should have been in the "Hardware Components and Drivers" section, sorry :)

Iatkos v7 is 10.5.7, right? If that's the case you will not get your wireless to work on your Aspire. I've already had many headaches messing with that. However, if you install Iatkos v3, the 10.6.2 version, your wireless should get picked up during the install as an Airport device. Or any Snowleopard for that matter. I'm pretty sure that's the card I had in my acer. Just do a google on that device with osx86 attached to it.

thanks, ill give that a shot tonight, can I just ask, whats the difference between 10.5.7 and 10.6.2? just updates for components etc? ill update you later tonight to tell you how I get on ;)

also, why is v7 10.5.7 when v3 (which I presume came before v7) a later version (10.6.2) i am failing to understand the logic lol

v3 on 5.7 refers to the third release of that distro. sl is the way to go. if that card isnt recognized by sl grab a dell wireless 1390 card off ebay. got mine for 7 bucks shipped. my acer 4315 has never been the same.
