ShoutHouse
Hi, I am looking into purchasing parts, but before I do I don't want to screw up and buy something that has no possibility of working. This is the processor that I was looking into buying. Here If it will work then splendid, and that leads me into the next question, what motherboard should I get. I was looking at this If none of this will work then what is a comparable alternative?
3.14r2
Use the forum search. All should work. Check this.
ShoutHouse
There was nothing with this specific hardware and I didn't want to assume that it was the same as the UD3. I'm new to building a Hackintosh, not using a forum. I searched before I queried. I am not stupid.

No need to be rude, he was just trying to help
ShoutHouse
I wasn't being rude. I just felt that he was acting as if I didn't have any idea what I was doing on the internet. If it was I apologize.
3.14r2
There was nothing with this specific hardware...Really? Let's compare your MB with the MB from the guide.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128375 Their MB http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...8-456-_-Product Your MB What do we see? Same chipset Same CPU type socket type Same south bridge Same (more or less) memory type Different Audio chipset Slightly different LAN chipset So ~70-80% identical MBs. And you want to tell me that the guide has absolutely nothing to do with your MB and CPU? There would be some differences in DSDT and audio/lan drivers. Everything apart the above can be easily applied to your MB as well as to the MB in the guide. I am not stupidNobody calls you that way. You should be bit smarter then it comes to OS X installation. I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset anyone. Sometimes I feel like I have a social disorder when it comes to talking online. I should explain my situation more. This is my first time building a computer as well. I know it all in theory however the only thing I've ever done was upgrade my windows xp computer. So I am not extremely knowledgeable on hardware. Also I didn't say that it had nothing to do with the guide, but I read your post incorrectly as "Use the forum search [before you post on the board]." So I was incorrect on the implied meaning. Therefore when I said: There was nothing with this specific hardware and I didn't want to assume that it was the same as the UD3. I only meant that, since I am new to this, before I consulted the forums I didn't want to assume that those two were the same. I really do apologize for the hostility I have created. Oh, and thank you for clearing that up.
