exca
Hello, I'm having some problems installing my Asus 5770 CuCore. It's not a reference 5770 designed card and i'm noticing that now. Please help me, this is the last step for letting my OSX work 100%. I installed by using #####+#####. I installed OSX, and then ran ##### selecting these extra's: - System Utilities - Advanced Options -> Kexts -> Audio -> LegacyHDA -> ALC889 (or the codec for your board) - Advanced Options -> Kexts -> Graphics -> Enablers -> ATY_Init Vervet - Advanced Options -> Kexts -> Network -> Realtek Gigabyte Ethernet -> RealtekR1000SL - Advanced Options -> com.apple.boot.plist -> 32-bit GraphicsEnabler=No I reboot but i only get 1 screen to work, though, the card is being recognised in system profiler and i can now set that screen on a decent resolution of 1680x1050: Chipsetmodel: ATI Radeon 5700 Series Type: GPU Bus: PCIe Slot: Slot-1 PCIe-lane: x16 VRAM: 1024mb Manufacturer: ATI (0x1002) DeviceID:0x68b8 Revisioncode: 0x0000 Rom revision: 113-B7710C-176 Version EFI-driver: 01.00.318 Display: AcerP203W 1680*1050@60Hz = the only screen detected. The screen that's working is connected to the HDMI port. The other one is connected to the DVI port and is black. When pulling HDMI and rebooting, then the DVI works. I tried installing with Vervet framebuffer, which gave me these problems. I reinstalled OSX using Uakari, same problems. After re-running multiboot and trying to install Vervet over it (by using multiboot following the same instructions), my installation freezes on boot. Only with ##### in the drive, I can boot afterall but yet, only one screen! Who can help me, please!
exca
I tried with a different installation. I installed again with only 1 screen on HDMI. Then rebooted with HDMI + DVI. Now both screens are working but they show the same image, only one screen is listed in system profiler, can't extend my desktop in any way... it really thinks i only got one screen connected Anybody? FKA
Please read the ati 5770 threads for help! I suspect you haven't installed the GraphicsUpdate 1.0 from apple. But that is just a guess! D

But that is just a guess! D I have read all threads completely and backwards. I installed using the guide which means 1st update to 10.6.4, and secondly doing the graphicsupdate. No way of getting it installed..
