RedSox
Hey all, need some help. I have a Dlink DI 614+, runs my hackntosh and PC wired at 1.1MB per second whereas my toshiba wireless... (model.....A4 wireless) downloads at 350K. So is it the wireless or the router? Or is the router fine and I need a faster USB wirless hookup for the laptop? Thanks! RedSox
Wireless is by nature slower than wireless. So really it is not the fault of the router or wireless card in laptop? The wireless is INTEL 2200BG PRO. Router Dlink DI-614+ So there is nothing I can buy? What about a splitter to split the ethernet? The router has 4 PORTS am using 4 for 3 PC's 1 PRINTER, is there some HUB or something I can get and just run another wire upstairs? 384 vs 1.1 MB is a big difference! Thanks! Rammjet
Nobody else has found a driver to make the 2200 work at all! You should feel lucky that you managed any data through it.
fireshark
Mayve he was using Windows. Yes you can. Get another router and a patch cable (crossover cable). Take out one of the cables occupiying the original router. put the prossover cable from that open port on the original router to the WAN port on the new router, then plug in the cable that you disonencted omewhere on the new router.
